Motorcyclist killed after being hit by oncoming car near Floyds Fork in Louisville, KY

LOUISVILLE, Ky. (WDRB Reports) — Officials have released the name of the motorcyclist who died after a crash near Floyds Fork in east Louisville.

The victim was 67-year-old Michael Blair, according to Deputy Coroner Eddie Robinson. The cause of death was multiple blunt force injuries.

The accident happened on Tuesday.

Officials say the driver of a car became distracted going around a curve near 801 South Beckley Station Road and veered into the southbound lane, hitting a motorcycle.

Blair was thrown off his bike, landing in some nearby brush. He was pronounced dead at the scene around 4 p.m. Authorities say Blair was not wearing a helmet.

A second vehicle also ended up in the brush. The driver suffered minor injuries.
